Judy Elaine Martin Timmons

Mrs. Judy Elaine Martin Timmons, 73, of Mt. Airy went to meet her Lord and Savior Saturday, May 14, 2016 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on August 23, 1942 to the late Fletcher Alvis Martin. Mrs. Timmons retired from Quality Mills., and was a member of Flat Rock Baptist Church. She graduated from Mt. Airy Cosmetology School and managed her own Beauty Salon. She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Jack Timmons of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Sherry Timmons; sisters and brothers-in-law, Gaynell and Jack Pratt, Betty and Roger White, Donna and David Tolbert,; brothers and sisters-in-law, Joey and Jamie Martin, F.A. and Joann Martin, Gary and Sandy Martin, Danny and Michelle Martin; her beloved pets, Smokey and Poe; many loving nieces and nephews; her dear "family" at Olympia Restaurant. In addition to her father Mrs. Timmons was preceded in death by brothers, Jerry Martin and Larry Martin; her grandparents, Will and Maggie Martin. Funeral services will be held Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Flat Rock Baptist Church with the Rev. Stewart Mauck officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1:00 PM until time of the service at the church. The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of the Intensive Care of Northern Hospital for the love and care given to Mrs. Timmons during her illness. Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
