Julia Melton Hill

Mrs. Julia Melton Hill, 91, of Richmond, VA, passed away Tuesday, June 19, 2007, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, VA. Mrs. Hill was born December 21, 1915, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Carden F. and Susan Greenwood Melton. She was retired from J.C. Penney Company and a member of Ridge Baptist Church in Richmond, VA. Mrs. Hill is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Susan and Sheridon "Skip" Turner of Casselberry, FL, and Carla and Steven Tabor of Richmond, VA; three grandchildren and two spouses, Renee and John Tomasi of Littleton, CO, and Chris Tabor and Marcus and Julie Tabor, all of Richmond, VA; and three great-grandchildren, Christopher Tomasi and Courtney Tomasi, both of Littleton, CO, and Austin Tabor of Richmond, VA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Hill was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Craig Hill; and two brothers, Oscar Melton and Caleb Melton. A graveside service will be held Friday, June 22, 2007, at 11:00 AM at Hills Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Pilot Mountain. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Patricia Ward. No formal visitation will be held at the funeral home.
