June Louise Rummel Anderson

Mrs. June Louise Rummel Anderson, 87, of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, February 14, 2010, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mrs. Anderson was a resident of Golden Living Center. She was born June 27, 1922, in Lima, OH, to William C. and Clara Wright Rummel. Mrs. Anderson was a member of First Presbyterian Church. Surviving are her devoted husband, Ed Anderson of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, William S. Anderson of Mount Airy and Alan J. and Cathy Anderson of Cana, VA; three grandchildren, Deanna M. Berrier, Andrew S. Anderson, and William S. Anderson; three great-grandchildren, Abby M. Anderson; Lucas A Berrier, and Cody Anderson; and a sister-in-law, Claire J. Butler. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Anderson was preceded in death by a grandson, Christopher M. Anderson. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM, Thursday, February 17, 2010, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with Dr. Steve Lindsley officiating. Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Wednesday night from 6:00 to 8:00 at the funeral home.
