June Badgett Frazier

Mrs. June Wall Badgett Frazier, 86, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday night, January 18, 2021, at Northern Regional Hospital.  Mrs. Frazier was born March 18, 1934, in Surry County, one of three children born to the late Harvey and Sally O’Neal Wall.  June owned and operated June’s Beauty Shop for more than 30 years and was a faithful member of White Plains Friends Meeting.  She is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Barry and Pam Badgett of Mount Airy; two grandsons and their wives, Kevin and Shannon Badgett and Kenny and April Badgett, all of Mount Airy; three great-grandchildren, Hunter Badgett, Karleigh Badgett, and Brilee Badgett, all of Mount Airy; and a special niece and her family, Kim and Keith Hinson, Barrett, Haley, Macie, Ella, and Lillian Hinson, and Sam, Amber, and Norah Hinson.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Frazier was preceded in death by her first husband, George Wesley Badgett, Jr.; her second husband, Howard Frazier; two brothers, Tom Wall and Jim Wall; and a special great-nephew, Ben Hinson.  A graveside service will be held Friday, January 22, 2021, at 2:00 PM at White Plains Friends Meeting Cemetery, with the Rev. Jake Penley and the Rev. Jeff Wall officiating.  No formal visitation will be held.  Due to public health concerns, attendees are requested to wear a face mask and practice social distancing.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN  38105; White Plains Friends Meeting, 849 Old Highway 601, Mount Airy, NC  27030; or Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC  27030.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
