June Coy Jones

Mr. June Coy Jones, 71, of 173 Bluff Road, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, November 19, 2008, at his home. Mr. Jones was born June 28, 1937, in Surry County, to the late Carva and Sadie Ann Cook Jones. Coy was a custodian at Family Resource Center of Mount Airy. He is survived by a son, Jeffery Scott Jones of Mount Airy; a grandson and his spouse, Jason and Tara Jones of Statesville; a great-granddaughter, Raylyn Jones of Statesville; and a brother and sister-in-law, Carva "Sonny" and Louise Jones of Mount Airy. In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a son, June Christopher "Chris" Jones; a grandson, Nathan Robert Jones; two infant sisters; a sister, Lucille Holder; an infant brother; and two brothers, Vertice Jones and Vestal Jones. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 22, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy. The service will be conducted by family and friends. The family will greet friends Saturday from 12:30 to 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
