June Christopher Jones

Mr. June Christopher "Chris" Jones, 47, of 173 Bluff Road, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, September 26, 2007, at his home. Mr. Jones was born February 26, 1960, in Surry County, to June Coy Jones and Faye Hall Starr. He was a machine fixer at Kentucky Derby Hosiery for several years and a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Tara Jones of Statesville; a granddaughter, Raylyn Jones of Statesville; his mother, Faye Hall Starr of Wilkesboro; his father, June Coy Jones of Mount Airy; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Scott Jones of Mount Airy and Captain Jerry Lee and Dana Starr of Fort Jackson, SC; a grandmother, Helen Starr of Mount Airy; and an uncle, Buck Hall of Murrells Inlet, SC. Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a son, Nathan Robert Jones. A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 29, 2007, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy.
