June Carol Adams Shinault

Mrs. June Carol Adams Shinault, 76, of 3881 Siloam Road, Dobson, passed away Saturday, July 5, 2008, at her home. Mrs. Shinault was born October 18, 1931, in Surry County, to the late Ellard and Edith Kemp Adams. She retired as assistant vice president of BB&T Bank. June was a homemaker and a member of Rock Hill Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities. Surviving are her husband, Thomas "Tom" Shinault of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Angela Shinault of Dobson; a grandson, Joseph Shinault of Dobson; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Jane Ott of Pottstown, PA, and Virginia and Billy McCraw of Mount Airy; and two brothers and sisters-in-law, Lester and Mary Adams of Elkin and James Herbert "Jimmy" and Judy Adams of Gainesville, GA. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Shinault was preceded in death by a brother, Guilford Adams. The funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 8, 2008, at 2:00 PM at Rock Hill Baptist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Clarence Marshall, the Rev. Dwight Sechrist, and the Rev. Lee Johnson, and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Monday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where her body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the service.
