June Satterwhite Stanley

Mrs. June Satterwhite Stanley, of Dobson, passed away surrounded by her family and loved ones after an extended illness on April 7, 2009. She was born in Granville County, North Carolina on May 21, 1944 to the late Willie Lee Satterwhite and the late Minnie Lee Tunstall Satterwhite. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by one son Mitchell Edward "Mickey" Stanley Jr. She was a retired nurse and was of the Baptist faith. Surviving are her husband Mitchell Stanley of the home; three daughters and sons-in-law Kim Stanley and Susan Haneline of Winston Salem, NC, Kristy and Chris Johnson of Raleigh, NC, and Kelli and Abraham Doby of Dobson, NC; by five grandchildren Alex and Kate Johnson, Ethan, Jessica, and Alea Doby; by a sister and brother-in-law Francis and Bob Hall of Franklinton, NC; by two brothers and sisters-in-law Steve and Ruth Satterwhite, Julian and Beverly Satterwhite all of Stem, NC. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson on Thursday evening from 7 until 9 P.M. A private service will be held at a later date. Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Stanley family.
