June Stanley

Mrs. June Hall Stanley, age 78 of Lexington, passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2019 at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital.  She was born in Franklin County on June 28, 1941 to the late Fred Hall and Hettie Amos Hall.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Conner Stanley.  She was the youngest of 10 siblings.  June was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.

          Surviving are two sons and their spouses, James Earl and Susan Stanley of Blythewood, SC, Charles Lee “Chip”, II and Terri Stanley, of Lexington; two daughters and their spouses, Wendy Gayle and Elliott Brown of Charlottesville, Sheryl Kaye and Thomas Wagner of Lexington; six grandchildren, Jacob Tyler Stanley, Andrew McKinley Stanley, Kathryn “Kate” Audrey Wagner, Charles Lee “Charlie” Stanley, III, Isabelle Grace Wagner, Olivia Grace Stanley; two sisters, Lula Craddock of Stuart, Joyce Shively of Roanoke; and several nieces and nephews.

          Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 14, 2019 at 2:00 PM at Old Bell Spur Primitive Baptist Church with Rev. Stewart Childress officiating.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday night from 6 to 8 at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maberry Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 776 Pinnacle Lane, Meadows of Dan, VA 24120.  Online condolences may be sent to www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
