Kathleen L. Noyes

Kathleen L. Noyes, December 27, 1950 – April 19, 2016, of Mount Airy, NC, formerly of Bozrah, CT, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem, NC. She married Roger Frechette on March 21, 1998 in Preston, CT, and in 2011 they retired and moved to Mount Airy, NC to be closer to Kathy’s daughter, Heather (Miner) Moore. Kathy was the daughter of the late Ralph and Eleanor (Maynard) Noyes. She was raised in Norwich, CT and spent her childhood summers at Latimer Point in Stonington, CT, her most favorite place on earth. Kathy graduated from the Norwich Free Academy, class of 1968 and graduated from the New England Deaconess Hospital School of Nursing in 1971. She spent the next 41 years working as a registered nurse, retiring in 2011. She was very active in the Healing Touch Community in Norwich, CT from 2002 to 2011, having become a Certified Healing Touch Practitioner in 2006. Kathy loved working in her flower gardens, reading, Zentangling and fussing over her miniature horses. She is survived by her husband, Roger Frechette of Mount Airy, NC; her daughter, Heather Moore and her husband Heath Moore of Mount Airy, NC; as well as five step-children, their spouses, and 14 grandchildren all living in CT. She also leaves behind her brother, Ralph (Sandy) Noyes and wife Gail of Norwich, CT and her brother, David Noyes and his wife Nancy of Mystic, CT, and seven very special Noyes cousins, aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, it was Kathy’s wish that you simply pass on an act of kindness to others. A celebration of her life will be held at the family farm, HM Performance Horses, at 706 Blue Hollow Road, Mount Airy on Sunday, April 24, 2016 at 2PM. Burial will be private. Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the Noyes family.
