Kathleen Ann Tickle

Mrs. Kathleen Ann Holt Tickle, 79, of Mt. Airy passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2020 at the Dunmore Plantation in Dobson.  She was born in Surry County on March 22, 1940 to the late Austin and Lula Bell McBride Holt.  Mrs. Tickle was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.  She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Kay and Jeff Beaver, Kristie and Adam Tucker, Kelly and Todd Benge, Kendra and Tony Williams, Karen and Bobby Payne; a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Angie Tickle; grandchildren, Jessica Payne, Joseph Payne and fiancée Liz Dougan, Jenny and Jonathan Smith, Katie Williams, Klaudia Tucker, Jordan and Sara Beaver, Kurstin and Ethan Boles, Blake Tickle, Brooke Tickle, Weslee Tucker, and Jaden Williams; great grandchildren, EJ Bowman, Zane Tolbert, Finn Beaver, Ophelia Smith, Everly Boles, and Declan Payne; a brother and sister-in-law, James and Ruth Holt; a special caregiver, Dora Gwyn.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tickle was preceded in death by her husband, Edward Eugene Tickle; a sister, Mary “Flora” White.  A funeral service will be held Friday, February 14, 2020 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel with Major Mike Rodgers officiating.  Burial will follow in McBride Family Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Friday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt.
