Kathryn Mae McCoy

Mrs. Kathryn Mae Thompson McCoy, 86, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, September 12, 2022, at Central Continuing Care in Mt. Airy.  She was born in Calhoun County, MI, on July 21, 1936, to the late, Milton Richard and Hazel Granger Thompson.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother who will be dearly missed.  Mrs. McCoy retired from Kmart after many years of employment.  She is survived by her husband, Gerald “Jerry” McCoy; a daughter and son-in-law, Leesa Maria Gordon and Rick; a son and daughter-in-law, Aaron Michael McCoy and Von; grandchildren, Richie Gordon, Casey Gordon, Stephanie McCoy Wood and her husband Jansen; three great grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. McCoy was preceded in death by a great grandchild, Channing Gordon; a sister, Irene Thomas.  A memorial graveside service will be held Monday, September 19, 2022, at 2:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with the Rev.
