Kathryn Isaacs Wagoner

Mrs. Kathryn Isaacs Wagoner, 78, of Elkin passed away on Tuesday March 3, 2009 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem. She was born in Surry County on October 6, 1930 to the late John Elisha Isaacs and the late Minnie White Isaacs. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Henry Wagoner; two sisters Doris Helena Isaacs and her twin sister Estelle Daphine Isaacs. Mrs. Wagoner was a member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church, and was retired from AT&T. Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law Karen W. Green and Keith Green, of Elkin; two grandchildren Heather and Christopher Collins of Dobson, Eric Green of Elkin; two step grandchildren William and Wayne Green, of Indiana; one great grandson Blake Collins; a special sister Fern Triplett of Winston Salem, NC. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Friday March 6, 2009, at Mt. Hermon Baptist Church with burial to follow in the Union Cross Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. James Pardue, Rev. Tim Burton and Rev. Dennis Bledsoe will conduct the services. Her body will be taken to Mt. Hermon Baptist Church on Thursday were the family will receive friends on Thursday evening from 6 until 8 PM, her body will remain at the church and will lie in state 30 min. before the services. There will be no formal visitation at the funeral home. Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson is serving the Wagoner family.
