Kathy Renee Akers

Mrs. Kathy Renee Reynolds Akers, 61, of Mt. Airy, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center Thursday, June 25, 2020.  She was born in Forsyth County, August 17, 1958 to Mary Magdalene Thomas Reynolds and the late Curtis Reynolds.  Kathy was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, step-grandmother, and friend to many.  She was a beloved wife to Ted Akers who shared great moments until his death.  Kathy was a hard worker, committed to any job started.  She was employed in accounting and clerical positions throughout her career.  She will be lovingly remembered by her cherished daughter, Heather Reynolds; her mother, Mary Reynolds; and brothers, Tony Reynolds, Dennis Reynolds and wife, Vikki, Richard Reynolds; aunts, Evelyn Moore, and Emma Childress; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins that she loved very dearly.  In addition to her husband and father, Kathy was preceded in death by her grandparents, and several aunts, uncles and cousins.  Respecting the current limitations of numbers for public gatherings at this time (COVID-19), a memorial service is being planned for a later date.  Online condolences may be made at www.moodyfuneralservices.com.
