Mrs. Kay Miriam Collins Brady, 69, of Mt. Airy, widow of Robert Percy Brady, passed away Tuesday, August 7, 2007, at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem. Mrs. Brady was born September 17, 1937, in Patrick County, VA, to Morris Franklin and Maxie Montgomery Collins. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who loved her, especially her friends at the Webb Center where she enjoyed playing Bingo. She attended Mt. Airy Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she was a member of the choir and was faithful in the women's auxiliary. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Ricky and Nancy Brady and James "Meatball" and Janice Brady, all of Pinnacle; grandchildren, Misty Bruner, Robert Brady, Elizabeth Howard, Casey Brady, and Shane Brady; great-grandchildren, Emma Howard, Kylie Bruner, and Luke Bruner; sisters and brothers-in-law, Judy Blevins of Mt. Airy, Faye and Tommy Boone of Pfafftown, and Betty Ann and Fred Easter of Rockville, MD; a special friend, Loma Money; and a very special little dog, "Torrie". In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Brady was preceded in death by a brother, Emerson Collins. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, August 10, 2007, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Tommy Vass and Michael Hiatt. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home.
