Keith Ray Atkins

Mr. Keith Ray Atkins, age 49 of 540 Country Club Rd. Mt. Airy passed away Saturday May 24, 2008 at his home. Mr. Atkins was born October 27, 1958 in Surry County to Eleanor Thomas Atkins and the late William Roy Atkins, he was a Steel Worker and member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Surviving are his mother Eleanor Thomas Atkins of Mt. Airy, two sisters and brothers-in-law Karen and Alan Hiatt and Mary and Jason Vindich all of Mt. Airy, two brothers Craig Atkins and Jeffery Atkins both of Mt. Airy, a sister-in-law Emma Atkins of Mt. Airy and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his father Mr. Atkins was preceded in death by a brother Rocky Jay Atkins. Funeral services will be held Wednesday May 28, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with services conducted by Bishop David P. Hiatt, Mr. Jimmy Martin and Mr. Rebel Ackers with burial to follow in the Indian Grove Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday night 7 to 9 P.M. at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy, NC.
