Kelly Michelle Holbrook

Ms. Kelly Michelle Holbrook, 51, of Hays, passed away Tuesday morning, October 17, 2023, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson.  Ms. Holbrook was born July 15, 1972, in Surry County, the daughter of Sandy Scott Edwards and the late Ricky Steven Edwards.  Kelly was employed at East Coast Mouldings and a faithful member of Round Hill Baptist Church.  She is survived by two daughters and a son-in-law, Abby and Jake Niten and Emily Holbrook; a grandson, Jaxxon Niten; a grandson on the way (due November 24), Braxton Niten; her mother, Sandy Scott Edwards; a sister, Amy Edwards; a brother and sister-in-law, Brad and Laurie Butcher; two nieces and a nephew, Sidney Butcher, Brandon Butcher, and Bayleigh Butcher; a special uncle, Steve Scott; and her significant other, Gerald Roope and his family, Drew Roope, Grey Roope, and Anne “Nannie” Roope.  The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 22, 2023, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Matthew Higgins officiating.  Burial will follow at Oakdale Cemetery.  The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Round Hill Baptist Church, 110 Brewer Mill Road, Traphill, NC  28685.
