Kelvin E. Handy

On July 4, 2016, Kelvin E. Handy, age 88, passed away in Sanford, Florida. Kelvin was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Handy, his parents, Reynolds William Handy and Ola Matrice Cockram Handy, and his sister, Alma Morris Handy. Born on March 14, 1928, Kelvin was a lifelong NASCAR fan. Kelvin is survived by his five daughters, Wanda Ward, Sandra Eakin, Teresa Sherman, Lita Handy-Peters and Victoria Katenkamp; his brother, Cubert Handy; and his aunt, Zue Grissom.

A graveside service is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. in the Woolwine Cemetery with Pastor Dewayne Troutt officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you make donations to the Woolwine United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 74, Woolwine, Virginia 24185 or to the Smith River Rescue Squad, P.O.
