Ken M. Peeples

Mr. Ken M. Peeples, 81, of Mt. Airy, passed away at Forsyth Medical Center, Wednesday, September 1, 2021. He was born in Guilford County, NC, January 16, 1940, to the late Jesse James and Annie Brown Peeples. Mr. Peeples worked with Oakdale Knitting for many years prior to retiring and also retired as a part-time truck driver with various local trucking companies. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend to many. Mr. Peeples enjoyed watching Westerns, loved animals, and spending time with his family. Left to cherish his memory are his wife Mildred Mae Smith Peeples; sons, Jeff Peeples and Cynthia Evans, Stephen and Mary Peeples; a grandchildren Maranda Peeples, Amber, and Andrew. In addition to his parents, Mr. Peeples was preceded in death by a sister Jettie Daily; and a brother James Peeples. A graveside service will be conducted at Skyline Memory Garden at 11:00 AM, September 4, 2021, with Rev. Richard Loman and Rev. Eric Smith officiating. The family will not receive friends at the funeral home, but anyone is welcome to go by Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy to pay their respect on Friday, September 3, 2021, from 4:30 until 6:00 PM. The family has requested that in lieu of flowers to make memorial contributions to Mt. Airy Wesleyan Church, 2063 S. Main St., Mt. Airy, NC 27030 or to Alzheimer’s Association, P.O.
