Mr. Kendall Gray Childress, age 37, of Dobson, passed away on December 17, 2021, at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Hospital. He was born in Surry County on February 3, 1984, to Kenneth Gray Childress and Cindy Harris Hitchings. Kendall was employed by the City of Winston-Salem and attended Faith Tabernacle. Surviving are his parents, sister and brother-in-law, Cassie and Chris Pike; step-sisters, Hannah Hitchings, Emily Hitchings; step-brother, Billy Hitchings; niece, Chloe Childress; nephew, A.C. Pike; as well as several special friends. The family would like to thank the Dialysis Centers and Baptist Hospital Doctors and nurses for all the years of LOVE, CARE and COMPASSION that it took to care for him. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at 3:00 pm in the chapel at Moody-Davis Funeral Services. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00 until 3:00 pm. Moody-Davis Funeral Service in Dobson is serving the Childress Family.
