Kenneth David Creasy

Mr. Kenneth David Creasy, 63, of 145 Bluff Street, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Henrico Doctors' Hospital in Richmond, VA. Mr. Creasy was born April 26, 1948, in Surry County, the son of the late Robert Lee and Lottie Alice Easter Creasy. Kenneth was formerly employed at Bassett Furniture Company and attended Holly Springs Baptist Church. He is survived by a sister and brother-in-law, Betty Lou and Ronnie Menges of Mount Airy; a brother and three sisters-in-law, James and Hulda Creasy of King, Mae Creasy of Mount Airy, and Sheri Creasey of Richmond, VA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Creasy was preceded in death by three brothers, Roy Creasy, Charles Creasy, and Roger Creasey; and two infant sisters. The funeral service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2011, at 11:00 AM at Holly Springs Baptist Church, with the Rev. Wayburn Mosley officiating. Burial will follow in the Hawks Family Cemetery in Cana, VA. The family will receive friends Friday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, where his body will remain until carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service.
