Kenneth "J.R." David Davis

Mr. Kenneth "J.R." David Davis, Jr. age 26 of Mt. Airy, passed away Tuesday, January 9, 2007 in Watauga County. Mr. Davis was born in Surry County, December 17, 1980 to Kenneth David Davis, Sr. and Deborah Hall Davis. He was employed with Carter Utility. Survivors include his fiancee, Whittney Anthony Davis of the home; sons, Daven Gregory Davis and Brady Alexander Davis also of the home; his mother, Deborah Hall Davis and a wonderful loving friend, Johnny King of Dobson; his father, Kenneth David Davis, Sr. of Mt. Airy; his paternal grandparents, Grover and Peggy Davis of Mt. Airy; and several aunts and uncles. Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Arlene Thomas and Hobert Hall and his step grandfather, Glenn Thomas. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, January 12, 2007 at Moody Funeral Home Chapel, conducted by Rev. Doug Cockerham. Burial will follow in Rocky Ford Christian Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday night from 7:00 to 9:00 at the funeral home.
