Kenneth Earl Dozier

Mr. Kenneth “Earl” Dozier, age 65, passed away Thursday afternoon, October 7, 2021, at his home. He was one of nine children born to the late Kenneth Earl Dozier, Sr. and the late Mary Stanbaugh in Indianapolis, IN, on May 4, 1956. He was an excellent mechanic and loved fixing and rebuilding cars. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. He will be remembered as a kind, caring and generous man, a devoted husband, a wonderful father, grandfather, great-grandfather, as well as a good friend and neighbor. He is now at peace and celebrating in Heaven with his late wife, Nelvra Susan Mayes Dozier. Left to cherish his memories are his son, Kenneth “Kenny” Johnson and Amber; his step-daughter, Teshia Smith, and two step-sons, Curtis Lee Slate and Michael Rilee Slate; three grandchildren, Kenneth “Little Man” Johnson and McKenzie, Charlie Smith, Elizabeth Dellenback; great-grandchild, Haigen Sawyer Dozier Johnson; his very special mother-in-law, Hassie Jarrell; his good friend, Louie Medina; his siblings, Wayne and Catherine and several nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, October 11, 2021, at Ladonia Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1:00 pm until time of his service. Flowers will be accepted. The family asks that you keep them in your prayers if you cannot attend due to COVID or recent illness. Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Dozier family.
