Kenneth Michael Rosendahl

Mr. Kenneth Michael Rosendahl, 38, loving husband of Carla Shinault Rosendahl, of Ararat, passed away on Tuesday, March 25, 2008 at Forsyth Medical Center after a courageous battle with cancer, while surrounded by his loving family. He was born in Wake County on May 30, 1969 to Larry Forrest Rosendahl and Gayle Evone Draughn Triplett. A loving husband, father, son and brother, Mr. Rosendahl leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife, the love of his life, Carla Shinault Rosendahl of the home; his parents, Larry Forrest Rosendahl of Piedmont, AL. and Gayle Draughn Triplett of Dobson; two sons, Nickolas Rosendahl and Devin Rosendahl of the home; two daughters, Hanna Lynch of the home and Faith Rosendahl of Dobson; his paternal grandmother, Lucille Rosendahl of Raleigh; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Audrey and Gerald Stultz of Walnut Cove, LeeAnn and Craig Smith of Siloam and April and Brent Creson of Walnut Cove; a brother Kevin Rosendahl of Dobson; his mother-in-law Carol Carson and husband Jimmy of Ararat; sister-in-law Karen and husband Tim Creed of Mt. Airy; brother-in-law Franklin Shinault and wife Delana of Ararat; several special nieces and nephews; special friends, Jonathan, Adam and Franklin. Mr. Rosendahl was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Dan and Lizzie Draughn; his paternal grandfather, "Pa Jay" Rosendahl and step-father Lee Roy Triplett. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Friday at Salem Baptist Church with Rev. Bobby Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 PM Thursday at Moody-Davis Funeral Home of Dobson where his body will remain until time to be carried to the church to lie-in-state 30 minutes prior to the funeral service. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care; to the nurses and staff of Forsyth Medical Center, especially Dr. Chrysson for all the love and special care given to Kenneth and his family.
