Kevin Joseph Maynard

Kevin Joseph Maynard, of Pilot Mountain, NC, passed away on January 13, 2025. He was a kind-hearted and quiet man who brought joy to those who knew him with his gentle spirit and great sense of humor. Kevin found fulfillment in the simple yet profound joys of life. A lover of good books, good food, dogs, and art, he filled his days with creativity, and compassion. In 2020, Kevin married the love of his life, Cara Maynard, and together they created a warm and joyful home for themselves and their canine kids - Celia, Finn, Charlie, and little Sophie. Kevin’s talents in the kitchen were unmatched. As both a professional and home cook, he showed his care through his culinary creations, often preparing beloved dishes for family gatherings that are now cherished memories. Throughout his life, Kevin was a loyal, kind-hearted brother to his five siblings and a devoted uncle to his five nieces and nephews. He was supportive, encouraging, and reliable and will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who were fortunate to share in his life.

A service celebrating his life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 11:00 am at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, NC.
