Kittie Veronica Comer

Miss Kittie Veronica Comer, age 67, of Dobson passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018, at Dunmore Plantation surrounded by her loving family.  Kittie was born in Surry County on June 24, 1951 to the late James Kennis Comer and the late Marylene Brindle Comer.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Kennis Comer.  Miss Comer was a member of Salem Fork Christian Church and a huge fan of the Carolina Tarheels.  Left to cherish her memories are two brothers and sisters-in-law, Keith and Rindy Comer of Advance, NC and Kevin and Marie Comer of Dobson, NC; nieces and nephews, Hannah Comer Stanley and Brett Stanley, Haley Comer Smith and Elliot Smith, Tristan Comer and Jordan Comer; great-nephews, Jack Stanley and Jude Stanley; great-niece, Eleanor Smith; aunts and uncles, Arthur and Lucille Shores, Irene and Max Weaver, Faye Comer, Clark and Carolyn Comer, Hazel Comer, Tommy Key; and a special cousin, Janie Johnson.  Funeral services will be held Monday, November 12, 2018 at 11:00 am in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Craig Key officiating.  Burial will follow in the Salem Fork Christian Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour before the service starting at 10:00 am.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to the Dunmore Plantation Christmas Fund, 515 W. Kapp Street, Dobson, NC 27017.  Moody-Davis Funeral Service is serving the Comer family.  Kittie’s family would like to thank all the friends and staff at Dunmore for the special love and attention given to her during her stay.
