Mrs. Kizzire Marshall Woodruff, 101, of Sebring, FL, formerly of Mount Airy, passed away Sunday, February 25, 2007, at Royal Care Nursing Home of Avon Park, FL. Mrs. Woodruff was born December 2, 1905, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Protch and Margaret Martin Marshall. She was retired from G.C. Murphy Company in Washington DC, a homemaker, and a member of Maple Grove United Methodist Church. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Irene and Leroy Jenkins of Sebring, FL; two sisters-in-law, Ima Thomas of Moutn Airy and Stacy Thomas of Clemmons; several nieces and nephews; and two special friends, Evelyn Jones and Ella "Polly" Puckett, both of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Woodruff was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Clyde Woodruff. Funeral services will be held Thursday morning, March 1, 2007 at 11:00 at Maple Grove United Methodist Church. The service will be conducted by the Rev. Max Gardner and the Rev. Bruce Johnson, and burial will follow in the Maple Grove United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour before the service at Maple Grove Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Maple Grove United Methodist Church, 192 Crane Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030, or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
