Kyle "Doug" Douglas Spence

Mr. Kyle Douglas “ Doug” Spence, 75 of Ararat, Virginia, passed away on Friday, September 18, 2020 at his home.  Mr. Spence was born on August 30, 1945 in Carroll County, Virginia, to the late Kyle Spence and Lelia Stanley Spence Hall.  He is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Allan and Debbie Spence of Ararat, Virginia; two grandchildren, Colby Spence and special friend Kim Snow of Mount Airy, Ashely Frith and husband Jacob of Danville, Virginia; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Shelby Dulaney and husband Junior.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Spence was preceded in death by two sisters, Nerine Pope and Gearldine Nester and one brother Cullie Spence.  A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 2:00 pm, September 22, 2020, at Doe Run Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Terry Vaughn officiating.  Friends and family wishing to pay their respect may do so, Monday, September 21, 2020 at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy, from 11:00 am until 5:00 pm and on Tuesday from 8:00 am until 1:00 pm.   Moody Funeral Services of Mount Airy is serving the family.
