Lannie Marion

Mrs. Lannie Alma Harrold Marion, 91, of Mount Airy, passed away early Sunday morning, June 13, 2021, at Central Continuing Care.  Mrs. Marion was born February 21, 1930, in Carroll County, VA, one of four children born to the late Herbert and Lavada Mallie Francis Harrold.  Lannie retired as an inspector from Renfro Corporation and she also worked as a clerk at Granite City Florist for more than 25 years.  She was a faithful Christian and a member of Joylight Baptist Church.  She is survived by Delma Lee and Ginger Beck of Mount Airy; her grandchildren, Kimberly and Joey Jenkins and Darrell and Lori Beck, all of Mount Airy; her great-grandchildren, Leslie and Jordan Stouffer, Lauren and Josh Brantley, Lilly Ruth Beck, and Lydia Beck, all of Mount Airy; a great-great-grandchild, Josie-Lynn Brantley; and several nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Marion was preceded in death by her husband, Hubert Garland Marion; two sisters, Lucille Harrold Chamberlain and Nancy Harrold Bradley; and a brother, Aaron Wallace Francis.  The funeral service will be held Friday, June 18, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Dale Bass officiating.  Burial will follow at Skyline Memory Gardens.  No formal visitation will be held.  The family wishes to express their gratitude for the love and compassion shown by the staff at Northern Regional Hospital, Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, and Central Continuing Care.
