Lara Marie Davenport

Lara Marie Davenport, 37, of Mount Airy, passed away unexpectedly early Friday morning July 15, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital.  She was born January 2, 1985, in Wake County to Kelly Stafford Davenport and James Martin “Marty” Davenport.  She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend.  Left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Nadia Kathleen Brim, and Merci Louise “Lou” Davenport; a son, Julius Holden “Ju Ju” Brim; sister, Jaime Kathleen Davenport; two brothers, James Martin “Jay” Davenport, II, and Liam Taft Overby; Nadia and Ju Ju’s dad, Justin Brim, and a host of other family and friends.  Ms. Davenport was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, Vance and Sarah Martin Davenport; and her maternal grandparents, Larry and Rebecca Ferris Stafford.  A service of worship and celebration will be held Saturday July 23, 2022, at Flat Rock Baptist Church at 1:00PM with the Rev. Rusty Reed officiating.  Inurnment will follow in Oakdale Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the Davenport family.
