Larry and Kim Spence

Larry Spence, age 65 of Mount Airy, passed away December 2, 2021. He was born on November 20, 1956, to Thelma Spence of West Virginia.

Kimberly Samuel Spence, age 59 of Mount Airy, passed away December 1, 2021. She was born on April 8, 1962 to Larry William Samuel and Donna Yankee.
Larry and Kim were married for 40 years, and they left behind to cherish their memories three children, Christopher Lee Dean, Melissa Ann Dean Speaks, and Matthew Scott Spence. They were especially loved by their eleven special grandkids who they both had a special nickname for, Reece-e-cup, Katybug, Mama Ronisha/Bully Jr, Loggie Baby/Scooter, RuRu, Girly Girl/ Runt, Jaeona Bella Peanut, Miles Man/Smiley, Abby Dabbi Do, OJ, and Rae Rae. Larry is also survived by seven siblings Jona Dean, Patty (David) Smith, Faye (Bill) McCoy, Ronnie (Toni) Pack, Glenn (Sharon) Pack, Michael (Heather) Pack, and Paula Pack. Kim is also survived by her sister Angela Samuel Dean and brother Derrick (Lisa) Samuel. They also leave behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and great friends. They both lived full lives and shared many laughs, smiles and good times. They will forever be cherished and loved. A graveside service will be held on Monday, December 6, 2021, at 2:00 PM at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery. For those that wish to pay their respects you may do so between the hours of 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. Flowers will be accepted at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy.
