Larry Dean Cannoy

Mr. Larry Dean Cannoy, age 83 of Mount Airy passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at Northern Regional Hospital in Mount Airy.  Mr. Cannoy was born on May 3, 1939, in Surry County to the late Roy Richard and Iris Clifton Cannoy.  Larry was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.  Mr. Cannoy proudly served his country in the United States Army.  He will be deeply missed by all that knew him.  Left to cherish his memories are his wife of 61 years, Linda Kay Welborn Cannoy, one daughter and son-in-law, Laura Cannoy Magaraci and husband, Greg; one son Randy Dean Cannoy; two grandchildren, Marc Wyatt Magaraci, Jack Riley Magaraci; one brother, Donald Gene Cannoy and the late Linda Faye Martin Cannoy; one Aunt Jane Cannoy; one Uncle, Charlie Cannoy; along with several nieces and nephews.  Mr. Cannoy was preceded in death by his parents, Roy Richard and Iris Clifton Cannoy.  A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 22, 2022, at 3:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens with Pastor Tony Matthews officiating.  Military rites conducted by VFW Post 2019 Mount Airy and Post 9436 Pilot Mountain.  The family will receive friends on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Moody Funeral Home in Mount Airy from 1:30 PM until 2:30 PM.  Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy is serving the family.
