Larry D. Jones

       Mr. Larry D. Jones, age 66 of Stuart, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2023, at his home.  He was born in Patrick County on July 1, 1956, to the late Sidney A. Jones, Sr. and Sarah Elizabeth “Tottie” Goins Jones.  In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Paul Thomas Jones, Leon Allen Jones, Sidney A. “Junior” Jones, Jr.; and a brother-in-law, Lynn Shouse.  Larry had worked for Hutchens Petroleum and RJR Hospital for many years.  He loved hunting and spending time with and spoiling his grandson.

         Surviving is his loving wife of 43 years, Patricia Greenwood Jones of the home; one son, Wes Jones and fiancé, Cynthia Turney of Stuart; one grandson, Kip Jones; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Patsy Shouse, Judy and Bobby Gardner all of Stuart, Robin and Bobby Pack of Westfield, NC; one brother and sister-in-law, Lloyd and Patricia Jones of Stuart; two sisters-in-law, Ann Overby Jones of Westfield, NC, Wanda Parrish Jones of Stuart; and several nieces and nephews.

         Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 1, 2023, at 11:00 AM at Moody Funeral Home in Stuart with Rev.
