Larry Herbert Easter

Mr. Larry Herbert Easter, 65, of Pinnacle, passed away Thursday, February 12, 2009, at Village Care of King. Mr. Easter was born July 7, 1943, in Surry County, son of the late Herbert and Edith Slate Easter. Larry retired from Roadway Trucking, where he had been employed for more than 24 years, and was a member of Mount Airy Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Marie Puckett Easter of Pinnacle; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ronnie and Jean Easter of Mount Airy and Scotty Easter and Margaret Jenkins of Winston-Salem; his stepmother, Marie Sechrist Easter of Cana, VA; a stepbrother, Keith Easter of Cana, VA; and nieces and nephews, who were very special to him. A graveside service will be held Sunday, February 15, 2009, at 3:00 PM at Skyline Memory Gardens, with Brother Wayne Williamson officiating. The family will receive friends at Moody Funeral Home on Sunday from 1:30 PM until time to go to the cemetery for the service. The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff at Village Care of King staff and to the staff at Hospice and Palliative Care of Walnut Cove.
