Larry McRay Puckett

Mr. Larry McRay Puckett, age 72 of Stuart, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 18, 2022 at Sovah Health of Martinsville. He was born in Patrick County on December 30, 1949 to the late Lawrence Isaac Puckett and Margie Bowman Puckett. In addition to his parents, Mr. Puckett was preceded in death by two brothers, Clarence Allen Puckett and Wade Maynard Puckett. He was retired from Patrick County High School where he had been a custodian for 12 years. He loved to hunt and fish, go to yard sales and flea markets, and watching westerns and movies on the television.

Mr. Puckett is survived by one brother, Dale William Puckett of Stuart; an uncle, Jack Bowman of Stuart; several cousins and special friends.
A graveside service will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2022 at 1:00 p.m. in Patrick Memorial Gardens with Rev. Kenneth Terry officiiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Larry Puckett Memorial Fund, c/o Moody Funeral Home, P. O. Box 307, Stuart, Virginia 24171.
