Laura Geraldine Key

Mrs. Laura Geraldine Key, age 80, of Dobson, NC passed away on Friday, January 10, 2020, at her home. She was born in Yadkin County on June 1, 1939, to the late Luther Garris and the late Beulah Johnson Garris. She was retired from Wayne Farms. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Bobby Key; sisters, Dorothy Wright, Genevieve Wolfe, Katie Darnell, Ella Mae Poindexter, Connie Garris; brothers, Leo Garris, Ted Garris, Perry Garris, Conrad Garris. Surviving are her three daughters and sons-in-law, Tona and Dennis Brakeville, Telena and Jimmy Bobbitt, Teresa, and Daniel Smith; sons and daughters-in-law, Tommy and Marie Key, Teddy and Lisa Key; grandchildren, Chantee and Felix Leboo, Dustin Key, Beth, and Josh Cox, Zee Ashley Key, Michael Venable, Kesha Chappell, and Kevin Penley, Johnathan Sneed; great-grandchildren, Kadance Evans, Winter Venable, Jackson Chappell, Philip Cox; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Ronald Absher, Ellen, and Larry Wilkins. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Monday, January 13, 2020, in the chapel of Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson, NC, with burial to follow in the Welcome View Baptist Church Cemetery. Rev. Ray Hutson and Rev. Charles Stevens will officiate the services. The family will receive friends at Moody-Davis Funeral Home in Dobson NC on Monday, from 12:00 noon until the time of her service at 2:00 PM.
