Laura Jarrett Titan

Mrs. Laura Jarrett Titan, 77, of Mount Airy, passed away Monday, May 16, 2011, at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home in Dobson. Mrs Titan was born February 7, 1934, in Leckie, WV, to the late Walter and Clara Harden Jarrett. She retired from J.C. Penney Company and was a member of New Bethel Baptist Church. Mrs. Titan is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert Titan, Jr. and Cloann Titan of Mount Airy; and a sister, Sarah Duncan of Mount Airy. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Titan was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Titan, Sr.; a sister, Thelma Rizzo; and three brothers, Oscar Jarrett, Howard Jarrett, and Earl Jarrett. The funeral service will be held Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Jimmy McCraw officiating. Burial will follow in the New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 12:30 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.
