Laurel Rebecca "Becky" Hill Nunn

Mrs. Laurel Rebecca “Becky” Hill Nunn, 74, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Sunday, February 27, 2022 at Forsyth Medical Center in Winston Salem.  She was born in Surry County on October 27, 1947 to the late Rufus Hazel and Ethel Vernell Coins Hill Holt.  She was a very loving person who taught her family the real meaning of love, she was a selfless and very giving person.  Her family was the apple of her eye, and  she never ended a phone call without saying “I love you”.  She was a loving mother, grandmother who will surely be missed by all who knew her.  We can only imagine what her first hours in heaven were like.  Left to cherish her memories are daughter and son-in-law, Jamie and Kenny Marshall; son and daughter-in-law, Kevin and Kelly Nunn; grandchildren, Mazie Goins and her husband Zack, Mikayla Young and her husband Alan, Kamron Nunn and his girlfriend Maria Chilton, Neal Marshall, Teia Mabe and her husband Jered, Garrett Marshall and fiancé Stephanie “Little Bit” Grant ; sister, Joyce “Polly” Johnson; several nieces, nephews, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws as well as her very loved dog, Toby .  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Nunn was preceded in death by her husband, Kelly Ray Nunn; two daughters, Vicky Laurel Nunn, Kelly Jeneanne Nunn; sisters, Erma Jane Montgomery, Mary Jo Collins.  A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, March 2, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Woodville Baptist Church with services conducted by Pastor Tim Morrison and Rev. Roy Elvin Nunn.  Burial will follow in Woodville Baptist Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until time for the service at the church.
