Lena Bolay

Mrs. Lena Elizabeth Bolay, age 71 of Ararat, Virginia passed away at her home on May 14, 2021. She was born in Atlanta, Georgia on September 9th, 1949 to the late John Holt and Virginia May Flinchum.  Lena enjoyed a fresh cup of coffee and working puzzles while watching the Law & Order television shows. She will be remembered for her candid sense of humor, and zero tolerance of wasting time or money. Mrs. Bolay is survived by her husband Carl Joseph Bolay, and two children, Mellissa Ann Spinks and husband, Don Campbell and John William Spinks, Jr., and stepsons Gordon and Nicholas Bolay. She is survived by her seven grandchildren, Jeremy Spinks and wife, Bekah, Dustin Crosby and wife, Lakin, Karlynn Curcio, Christopher Spinks, John Spinks, Ryan Spinks, and Candace Spinks; four siblings, John “Buddy” Holt, William “Bill” Holt, John “Johnny” Holt and Nancy Payne; and several nieces and nephews as well as 12 great-grand-children. A private memorial service will be held to honor Mrs. Bolay’s life.
