Lena Elizabeth Finley

Mrs. Lena Elizabeth Money Finley, age 79, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, October 23, 2018, at Northern Hospital of Surry County.  Mrs. Finley was born July 26, 1939, in Elbert, West Virginia, to the late Robert William and Martha Mae Parks Money.  Mrs. Finley was a homemaker who dearly cherished her family. Mrs. Finley is survived by her husband, Harold Eugene Finley of the home; daughter, Lena Hutson of Mount Airy; sons and daughters-in-law, Clifford and Vickie Finley, Harold and Candy Finley, and Mike Finley, all of Mount Airy; grandchildren and spouses, Holly and Brian Hodges, Missey Finley, Samantha Finley, Cheyenne Finley, Brandon and Randie Goins, Jody Goins, Robert Williams, and Santana McKenzie, great-grandchildren, Jayce and Mia; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marie Flippo, Peggy Davis and Terry Owens, Naomi and Van Jacobs, and Jerry Pepper; one brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Kathy Money; and special loved ones, Mary Lou Martin and Terry Roberts.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Finley was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Jessica Ann Finley; son-in-law, Luther Hutson; sister, Linda Pepper; and brother-in-law, Charles Flippo.  Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 26, 2018, at the Moody Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM with Bishop Randall Money officiating.  Burial will follow in the People’s Church Cemetery.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, October 25, 2018, from 6:00 until 8:00 at Moody Funeral Home.  Moody Funeral Service in Mount Airy is serving the Finley family.
