Lenora Rebecca Kidd

Miss Lenora Rebecca Kidd, 85, formerly of Dobson, passed away on Thursday June 14, 2007 at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born in Surry County on February 7, 1922 to the late Grover Cleveland and Myrtle Lawson Kidd. Mrs. Kidd was retired from the U. S. Postal Service where she made a career as an Assistant Post Master for thirty five years at the Dobson Post Office and was a member of Dobson First Baptist Church. She is survived by a loving niece, Sue Reavis of Gastonia, NC. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Kidd was preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie G. Kidd and Leonard Kidd; a nephew-in-law Lester Reavis. A graveside service will be held at 3 pm Sunday at Turkey Ford Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Michael Macon officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2 until time to depart to the cemetery.
