Leon Summers

Mr. Leon Ralph Summers, age 83, of Mt. Airy, passed away on Wednesday, June 16, 2021 at his home. He was born in Carrol County Virginia on July 6, 1937 to the late Earl Ralph and Alma Irene Sexton Summers. Left to cherish his memories are daughters, Karen Williams, Debbie Reynolds; grandchildren, TJ Reynolds and wife Jessica, Amanda Dennis and husband Brian, Crystal Warf, Tiffany Blackburn and husband Scott; nine great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and Cliff O’Neal; sister-in-law, Patsy Summers. In addition to his parents Mr. Summers was preceded in death by a son, Donnie Leon Summers; and a brother, Earl “Macky” Summers. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, June 19, 2021 at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mt. Airy with service conducted by Rev. Dink Haynes. The family will receive friends from 1:00 PM until time for the service at the funeral home.
