Leonita Ann Tillotson Marshall Jenkins

Mrs. Leonita Ann Tillotson Marshall Jenkins, 83, of 2525 East Pine Street, Mount Airy passed away Monday, April 18, 2016 at the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home. Mrs. Jenkins was born March 16, 1933 in Surry County, to the late Gilbert E. and Bessie Adams Tillotson. Mrs. Jenkins retired from Proctor-Silex, Inc. after 35 years of service as an inspector. She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Mark and DeeAnn Ward of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Michael William and Brenda Marshall, of Mt. Airy, and Ruth Marshall of Greenville, SC; 13 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two sisters and brother-in-law, Lavilette Rakoff of Colorado Springs, CO, Don and Cynthia Robertson of King; one brother and sisters-in-law, David and Mary Lou Tillotson, Dorothy Tillotson of Galax, VA, Lavinia Tillotson McMillian, Shirley Tillotson all of Mt. Airy, Florence Tillotson of Bricktown, NJ Rose Tillotson of Jackson, NJ, Vena Woodring and Martha Haynes of White Plains.. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Jenkins was preceded in death by the love of her life for 38 years Franklin Dee Jenkins; infant daughter Deborah Ann Marshall; a son, David Wade Marshall; two sisters and brothers-in-law, James and Geraldine Haymore, C.S. and Patricia Childress and Richard Rakoff; six brothers, Gilbert Jr., Jack, Paul, Conrad, James, Samuel, and James Tillotson. A graveside service will be held Thursday April 21, 2016 at 3:00 PM at Fisher River Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery in Dobson with the Rev. Ben Webb officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:30 PM at Moody Funeral Home in Mt. Airy. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Joan and Howard Woltz Hospice Home, 945 Zephyr Rd., Dobson, NC 27017 or to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mt.
