Leslie Melton

Mr. Leslie Melton, 52, of 423 Epworth Road, Cana, VA, passed away Monday, February 23, 2009. Mr. Melton was born February 21, 1957, in Surry County, to James Russell and Myrtle Massie Combs Melton. He was formerly employed at Cross Creek Apparel and a member of the Jesus faith. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Misty and Lorne Stanley of Westfield; his parents, James Russell and Myrtle Massie Combs Melton of Cana, VA; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Bonnie and Sherman Easter of Cana, VA, Tammy and Lee Upchurch of Mount Airy, Vickie and Edd Barnes of Cary, and Trudy and Timothy Towe of Fancy Gap, VA; a brother, Terry Melton of Cana, VA; several nieces and nephews; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins. A memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Mountain Valley Hospice and Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
