Lester Roy Taylor

Mr. Lester Roy Taylor, age 78, of Pilot Mountain, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018, at the Woltz Hospice Home.  Mr. Taylor was born in Surry County on October 8, 1939, to Roy and Ilene Simmons Taylor.  He will be dearly missed by all his family and friends.  Surviving is his devoted wife, Linda Goins Taylor; sons, Randy Taylor and Lee Taylor; step children, Jean Bottoms, Dean Bottoms, and Teresa Marshall and husband David; a special step granddaughter, Sydney; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mildred Taylor, Linda and Dean Wood, Faye and Larry Needham, and Kaylene Needham; a brother, Robert Taylor; and several nieces and nephews.  Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, July 17, 2018 at Bryant Chapel Baptist Church by Rev. Larry Crouse and Rev. Jason Johnson.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends Tuesday at the church one hour prior to the service.  Memorials may be made to Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care, 401 Technology Lane, Suite 200, Mount Airy, NC 27030.
