Mrs. Letisha Mae “Tish” Hawks Arrington, 78, of Mount Airy, passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2019, at the SECU Hospice Home in Yadkinville.  Mrs. Arrington was born July 29, 1941, in Surry County, the daughter of the late Fred Monroe and Etta Goins Hawks.  Tish retired from Proctor-Silex Inc. and was of the Baptist faith.  She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Jack Edward Arrington; her daughters, Lynn Haynes Keith and Amy Pigg and Roger Thompson; a son-in-law, Randy Moore; her grandchildren, Renee Moore McCreary and Joseph Armstrong, Nicole and Bruce Shore, Cory and Jordan Thompson, Catlyn Thompson, and Corey Hiatt; her great-grandsons, James McCreary and Andrew McCreary; a brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Susan Hawk; a special furry friend, Teddy; her brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harvey and Jean Arrington, Ethelene Edwards, Barbara and Jim Edmiston, Dennis and Lynn Arrington, Hilda Bowen, Mitchell Arrington, Ruth and Chris Williams, Judy Gwyn, and Patricia Vestal; several nieces and nephews; special nieces and nephews, Tina Hardy, Wade and Julie Keith, Larry “Buster” Hardy, and Wayne and Carmen Hawks; a great-nephew, Mason Hawks; a great-niece, Ashley Hawks; and special friends, Bill and Brenda Bowman, Roscoe Crouse, and Ricky and Donna Dean.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three infant children; a granddaughter, Kendra Thompson; two sisters, Jennie Morris and Bertha Hardy; three brothers, Homer Hawks, William Hawks, and Fred Hawks, Jr.; and her father and mother-in-law, Lester and Essie Arrington.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 21, 2019, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Anthony Thomas, the Rev. Jonathan Casstevens, and the Rev. D.C. Collins officiating.  The family will receive friends Saturday from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the SECU Hospice Home, 243 North Lee Avenue, Yadkinville, NC  27055.
