Leva Ester Wall Bowman

Mrs. Leva Ester Wall Bowman, 96, of Ararat, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. She was born May 19, 1915, to the late Charlie Edward and Hester Danley Wall. She was homemaker and a member of Rock Hill Baptist church. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Frankie Willard of Mount Airy, and Deborah Tolbert and Shirley Willard, both of Ararat; her grandchildren, Sharon Alberty, Bonita Stanley, Greg Willard, and Tammy Willard; a brother, Harvey Wall of Ararat; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Bowman was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wheeler Bowman; a son, Curtis Bowman; three sisters, Mallie Wall, Ida Wall, and Stella Marion; and a brother, Caleb Wall. A graveside service will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, March 17, 2011, at Rock Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, with the Rev. Lee Johnson officiating. There will be no formal visitation. Moody-Davis Funeral Home is serving the Bowman family.
