Lewis Wyatt Dalton, Sr

Mr. Lewis Wyatt Dalton, Sr., 67, of 397 City View Drive, Mount Airy, passed away Wednesday, April 15, 2009, at Northern Hospital of Surry County. Mr. Dalton was born June 22, 1941, in Carroll County, VA, to the late Daniel Pierce and Mabel Akers Dalton. He was self-employed and a member of Friendly Tabernacle Church. Surviving are his wife, Bonnie Haynes Dalton of the home; two daughters and a son-in-law, Vickie Huff and Tonya and Stephen Tolbert, all of Mount Airy; a son and daughter-in-law, Lewis Wyatt Dalton, Jr. and Sandra of Mount Airy; ten grandchildren, Nicholas Huff, Austin Huff, Holden Huff, Matthew Dalton, Daniel Dalton, Kim Woods, Colton J. Tolbert, Brittany Jade Tolbert, Angela Cruz, and Maricella Cruz, all of Mount Airy; a great-grandchild, Colby Sizemore of Mount Airy; three brothers-in-law and spouses, Larry Haynes of Mount Airy, Danny and Judy Haynes of Pilot Mountain, and Robert and Marie Haynes of Mount Airy; and a special friend, Pamela Bradley of Mount Airy. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM Sunday, April 19, 2009, at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, conducted by the Rev. Roby Wilcox. The family will receive Friends Saturday from 7:00 to 9:00 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
