Lewis Andrew Jones

Mr. Lewis Andrew Jones, 70, of Mt. Airy passed away Monday, August 17, 2020 at Duke University Hospital in Durham.  He was born in Surry County on July 12, 1950 to the late Jim and Rosella Fulk Jones.  Mr. Jones retired from Parson Landscaping.  He is survived by his girlfriend, Judy Meredith; sisters, Celia Mabe, Pansy Tilley, Frances Odum, and Rosie Jones; brothers, Denny Jones, and Charles Jones; many nieces and nephews.  In addition to his parents, Mr. Jones was preceded in death by a son, Quiller Dixon; brothers, Walter Jones and Henry Jones; brothers-in-law, Joey Tilley, and Frank Mabe.  A memorial service will be held Saturday, August 22, 2020 at 2:00 at Laurel Bluff Baptist Church with the Rev. James Odum officiating.  The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff of Duke University Hospital, his nurse Rosalie, and to his caregiver, Rhonda Felts for the love and care given to Lewis.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Laurel Bluff Baptist Church, c/o Patsy Odum, 473 Slate Rd., Mt.
