Lien Haynes

Mrs. Lien Haynes, 74, of Mount Airy, passed away Thursday afternoon, January 30, 2020, at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center in Winston-Salem.  Mrs. Haynes was born December 22, 1945, in Bien Hoa, Vietnam, the daughter of the late Do Van Qui and Tran Thi Phung.  Lien was a cosmetologist at The Headquarters for many years, and she worked at O’dell’s Sandwich Shop.  She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Summer and Chris Frye of Mount Airy; a son, Anthony Ray Haynes of the home; and five grandchildren, Devin Burnett, Kelsey Frye, Taylor Haynes, Ryan Frye, and Riley Frye, all of Mount Airy.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Haynes was preceded in death her husband, Donald Ray Haynes; and a brother.  A memorial service will be held Wednesday, February 5, 2020, at 2:00 PM at Moody Funeral Home Chapel in Mount Airy, with the Rev. Tony Holder and Paul J. Bunke officiating.  A private inurnment will be held at a later date at Skyline Memory Gardens.  The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6:00 until 8:00 PM at the funeral home.  At other times, the family welcomes friends to the home of Summer and Chris Frye at 132 Crystal Waters Lane, Mount Airy.  Flowers will be accepted, or memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
